Default Latest Sportcross price comparable

How about $13K for a nice 2005 white Sportcross in San Diego? Only 112K miles. Three times mine. Link: http://goo.gl/ph42s8 Couldn't upload photo but PDFs attached.

We have a CarMax next door to my Lexus dealership and they are not a good benchmark for pricing vehicles. They ask thousands over retail for the majority of their cars so just because CarMax is asking a certain price doesn't mean that's what its worth. With that being said, your Sportcross is impeccable and indeed rare so I'm sure you'll still get well into the teens for it but I would stick to KBB or NADA for your used car values.

i dont understand why people are unnecessarily commenting on someone's vehicle sale page? its his car and he can sell it for whatever he wants....

I agree, I'm not saying anything about that. I just saw that he was using CarMax for references and I've had bad luck with them so I just wanted to pass it along.

Default Carmax and Carfax

Agree, Carmax prices typically are top dollar. But people pay them in exchange for the convenience; absense of haggling, cheezy salespeople; appeal of five day money back guarantee. So it's a real, timely market price. And please note that my price is below (often well below) Carmax comparables.

How accurate can KBB be in the case of a 2005 Sportcross? The sample of sales in any given year is tiny. Only 256 2005s were imported. Of that number only a handful are low mileage.

Carfax now has in beta it own history-based value estimates, see attached. My car's current estimated retail value: $15,560. Estimated private sale value: $14,000.

How do you get that estimate done? I can't see it on the site anywhere.

When I ordered a Carfax report, the one now attached to listing page. Estimator popped up with the report.

Dealers always mark up the cost of cars. It's hard to compare that with yours. You won't have the overhead or BS fee's. With that being said it's irrelevant to the thread, almost like my comment.

My offer still stands, cash in hand.

bump - nice sportcross. GLWS my brother is looking for one and lives in TN. I sent him link and will follow-up based on interest.

Price is not bad folks. A little on the high side but a low mileage unmolested is SC is hard to find.

And that seller was open to offers as well.

They might be hard to find to a degree but examples like these are out there for the finding. My offer still stands of you so choose to accept and sell it.
