Hello Lexus fan girls and fan boys. I'm in the market for a UCF20 LS400 and thought I would reach out to all of you. I was turned onto these cars a few years ago, and while they are becoming more rare and harder to find, I know there are still some good examples out there. Here are my criteria:


- Excellent history of maintenance done on the car; the more thorough, the better. I'm not obsessive about maintenance, however, am looking for someone who has taken very good care of their car.

- I am partial to the following colors: white, silver, bronze/brown. I will consider other colors, so feel free to ask.

- Mileage: I know this is very subjective, given these motors will run well even past 200K. Having said that, I am looking on the lower end of the spectrum, say from below 100K on through 150K. Again, maintenance records and how a car were treated are better indications of a car's condition.

- I live in Seattle and am willing to travel a moderate distance to get the car. What is a moderate distance, you ask. Well, up to 1000 miles. I know this might sound absurd, but for the right car, I can buy a cheap ticket one way and drive back. Again, the closer the better, but I will not rule out a car based solely on distance from me.

- Price: ah, the all elusive price tag. After having scoured countless CL ads, ads on here and elsewhere, I think I have a pretty good idea of the prices our LS400's are commanding. With that said, I am looking to spend no more than $6,000 on the car.

Aren't there any clean LS400's out there? There must be a drought on them right now, but if anyone comes across a well kept example, please let me know. I am flexible on the price and the distance from me here in Seattle, so feel free to let me know of any you might come across.

After scouring over countless pictures on this forum and online, I have expanded my color preferences. Here they are in no particular order:

- Baroque Red Metallic
- Antique Sterling Metallic
- Imperial Jade Mica
- Silver Jade Pearl


Of those choices, I am particularly liking the Imperial Jade Mica, and to my surprise, the Baroque Red Metallic. The Antique Sterling Metallic has surpassed Silver as my next favorite color.
