Just to check myself, I went on cars.com, autotrader and craigslist, here are the following results of wagons currently available for sale that are nearest to my parameters

04 with 75k (tan on tan....yuck) for 14,400
02 with 78k for 13
05 with 92k for 13
05 with 102k for 12

Or

How about an 04 with 168k miles for 11?

Seattle has a 04 wagon with only 75k miles and no heated seats for 14,800

Point being, It might look like the price is high, but given the rest of the market, im right in line

Ps. video will be delayed due to my video guy flying out of the country for a contract over in Europe. So it might be a bit delayed

I'll admit the price is a bit high for my blood but this a very rare car, in immaculate condition, I could see an easy 15k purchase. The OP did say "asking price" knowing he would get other offers. No one posts anything anywhere for sale for the absolute lowest they would take, we all expect lower offers. If you didn't expect a haggler while buying/selling anything then I would suspect a scammer..

GLWS man, I think this car is perfect!

I think your problem isn't the price or car.

Its the market. And time. Its 2015.

Think about it, who wants a stock IS wagon to keep stock and drive it minimal.

Reminder it maybe rare not many made but, its not a collector car.

Also your IS is 11 years old and the only thing replaced is 2 front tires??

Surely there will be lots of maintenance parts besides tires.

Please look at even highly modified IS300s for sale (were people want them)

Its hard for them to sale for 18 or 20,000.

I have a 2002 with 50k 400wrhp built clean and I think I'd be lucky to 15,000.

Anyone will ask them selves "What brand new car could I buy with 18k"

All that said its a perfect example of a pure wagon and hope you can get the most for it.

Couple points Id like to touch on:

1. Who said you had to keep it stock? Sure that might have been what I was doing, but if you own the car you can whatever makes you happy

2. Correct, In my ownership ive only replaced two front tires. Original owner had all 4 tires replaced late 2012/ 27k miles if I remember correctly. In feb 2015 (now in my ownership) I had my passenger front tire blow out. So I replaced both fronts and since then they have about 1000 miles on them, the rears have under 5000.

3. Outside of regularly scheduled Lexus maintenance there wasnt anything else needed. If anyone has any questions regarding that, I would be happy to set you up with the dealership who performed a full check on the car along with its 30k.

4. And you also have to understand, you will never get the full price of what you put into your car. Never. So for every 20 modified IS300s, there's one beat up wagon with high miles and a salvage title for sale. Its supply / demand , condition , and actual sold transactions that dictates my pricing. Like I mentioned in the post above, feel free to look around and see what others have sold for and what other people are asking for theirs.

Finally, feel free to show me a new car (in any class, dont bother with the luxury segment, that just makes it harder) for 18k that will last as long as (or longer) than a bone Stock 2J with Lexus supporting parts. You're left with MAYBE a bone stock corolla; and ill spare you the decision, I have a 14 Corolla and id much rather be driving the wagon.

For anyone here not kicking tires, I dropped my asking price a little to reflect the current sportcross market, and to stop people from having aneurysms after seeing 18,000 for a 10+ year old car. I dont have the funds for those kind of medical expenses

Empathize with your dilemma of pricing a topnotch Sportcross.
Owner of three (see below). Still own the two MSMs.
One is a 2005 (last model year) with 41K miles. I'm second owner.
Bought in LA in early 2011 (20K miles) and shipped to TN.
Have service records from day one.
Ditto the other MSM, a 2002 with 103K, also from CA.
Both have full leather (black), and second set OEM wheels with snow tires.
Both are unmodified, garaged, terrific condition and incredibly reliable.
And I will sell one eventually (if I can meet forum qualifications).
Because I have a third car (see below).
BMW 335i highly modified by MachV Motors in Sterling VA.
Owner's demonstration car for "stealth M3" conversion.
Bought when I couldn't find a low-mileage Sportcross like yours.
Looked everywhere, often, including this forum.
Good luck. You know it's worth a lot. Hope you get it.

Appreciate the positive words all

So I might have to relocate for work, which would ultimately move my need to sell this MUCH higher

Lets drop it to $17,000, and as always im seeking any and all offers, (had a few already) so dont hesitate to contact me

dang, still wishing I had the funds!! such a clean ride and definitely worth more than I could offer, at the moment. GLWS and the move.

You should really consider just bringing it out to the left coast.

lol toyota museum.

if you actually take pics in the day time with no over cast or rain and actual important interior shots of drivers seats, dash, shifter, steering wheel, all close up pics of the rims, ill send you a real offer on this. these are the worst pics for a car you are asking more than 10k book price on originally .

To be fair you do have a more than valid point on the photos. As mentioned previously in the thread, I actually had a friend of mine do a professional shoot (photo and video) over a month ago and I'm still patiently waiting for something... Anything that I could put up in lieu of these photos. They typically work pretty fast when it comes to finishing out their projects but they do have a tendency to forget for whatever reason.

On the same token If you would like any further photos I'd be happy to get them to you when I get back from vacation, in the meantime though if you'd like to pm me your number ill be able to answer any questions or concerns you might have

Side note: on other forums/groups (neloc/suprafourms) people just take me for my word as my reputation speaks for myself.

I do realize I'm pretty much a nobody here and that doesn't really mean much so I apologize as that didn't help speed up my apathy for posting appropriate photos
