1992 sc400 - $900
This was my first SC, and it became the quickest money pit I've ever owned. Selling for $900. Mileage reads 225K, but this is not the original engine from what I was told when I bought it, so this engine should have about 150K on it.
The Good....
It drives! New front calipers from Rock Auto. New power steering pump. New hood/trunk lift supports. New 02 Sensors.
The Bad..
It's probably not safe to drive. Power steering pump wasn't installed correct, needs new hoses I believe. I think it needs a ball bearing for driver side rear tire. Slow coolant leak by EGR stuff...I can show you better then explaining. Interior is pretty bad... Got a steering rack from Aliga last year, got it installed but mechanic didn't do the tie end rods correctly so the steering wheel isn't centered....alignment? Radio doesn't work, and rear deck panel is gone... Drivers door handle just conveniently broke too...go figure. Car is dirty, needs a good cleaning.
This thing has given me nightmares since I bought it. I can't really do less then $900, I'm in it way more then that. I feel bad letting the SC get this bad, but my mechanic couldn't fix anything he said he could... So basically new parts were installed incorrectly costing me more money... I thought about doing a slow restoration, but my 96 SC400 has pricey plans and I can't afford to waste money right now.
I'm also looking to get a bike, something small like a Honda CBR250 or anything in that range, so we could trade and I could add cash. I wouldn't mind a bigger bike, but my spending cash is kinda low at the moment.
I have plenty of pics, more if any one is interested. Hopefully I can sell it as a whole and prevent parting it. The drivers door panel isn't on because I was planning on grabbing a new handle from the junkyard.
And this is an old pic with different rims I had on it... It now has LS400 rims as seen in pictures above.
Zip code is 11953 if anyone wants to take a look at it.
