I’m still on the fence about letting this car go, I want the new Scion FR-S, so I will have to sell this car to afford it. Recently my brother slid into a curb and caused some damage, which is why the price is so low. If you don’t know what this car is, then you won’t be interested in fixing it. If you are looking for a Black on Black GS430 with ML then you know what a good deal this is. I am obsessive about maintaining my cars, and this one has always been babied, and serviced at Heffner Lexus.

Black on Black leather
4.3L V8 (300hp and 320 ft lb)
5-speed automatic
No paddle shifters or steering wheel buttons – but it has the wood steering wheel
About 9~10 l/100km realistically (assuming you like to use the 300hp)
Power, Heated Seats
Power, heated mirrors
Auto climate control still works 100%, cold AC, and outside temp.
Mark Levinson sound system (6 cd changer) – no navigation
EVERY feature still works on the car, cruise control, fog lights, HID head lights with auto-leveler, traction control, ABS, sports mode…
Includes owner manual with leather holder, 2x 6-cd cartridges, 2x master key 1x valet key 1x wallet key

The good:
Full synthetic oil every 10,000km (there were times when this was almost monthly)
New (4 weeks old) bosh 4 platinum sparkplugs
New (4 weeks old) engine air filter
18” ADR rims with bridgestone Potenza ultra high performance summer tires
245/45R18 front and 275/40R18 rear - this car needs 275 rears!
17” stock lexus 5-spoke chrome rims with Blizzak X-ice snow tires
235/45R17 all around – new January 2012 probably about 2000kms on the tires
17” stock lexus 5-spoke chrome rim with brand new all season tire as a spare
Deleted the front washer sprayer for the headlights – I think they are ugly. Replaced front bumper with US spec non-washer bumper and Lexus painted to match the car.
De-badge the trunk lid (removed “LEXUS and “GS430”) – entire trunk painted by Lexus to match the rest of the car.
New (2012) front lower ball joints
All new (2011) daizen bushings in front suspension (every part changed)
New (2011) upper ball joints (both fronts)
New (2011) rotors / front-calipers / pads
New (2011) sway bar links
New (2011) sway bar bushings
New wheel bearings (all 4 replaced in the last two years)
New (2010) pioneer front door speakers, installed sound deadening in front doors
New rear driver-side door weather stripping – installed by Lexus
No rust – anywhere - on the car
Not a single fluid leak – EVER – this might be a world record, not even wet gaskets or ‘seeping’ fluids anywhere in the car, it has never leaked a single drop of any fluid.
I had Lexus flush and replace every fluid in the car last summer ($800.00) so everything is new, yes – even the rear diff.

The bad:
About 2 years ago the car was rear-ended on the 401 and pushed into the car in front. It suffered front and rear damage (nothing structural), it was fixed under insurance by Lexus – repair bill was $14,000 including the new bumper as mentioned above. People say the car will never be the same again, but those people never had their car fixed by Lexus – the car was perfect and I got a new paint job out of the situation.

The worse:
My bother slid over a curb recently and caused some damage to the car, which is why I’m considering a new one:
- Both right rims and tires were destroyed (the ADRs). The rear one is fixed ($175.00 bill pending - [updated] paid) and the front one is on order ~$350.00 (6-week lead time). The rear tire is no longer available (it was a strange size) so both rears needs to be replaced at $250-$300/each. The front tire is available so it can be replaced $200.00. So more or less $1000.00 to fix the summer rims and tires.
- Suspension damage – both front lower ball joints [updated] - fixed and a tie-rod ($170.00 for lexus + alignment at $80.00).
- The front passenger side fender now has a dent in it, it doesn’t interfere with the wheel or door in any way, but I would fix it ~ $600. [updated] I have a picture but photobucket is blocked at work, I can e-mail it to you and I will also update this posting again later.
Then a few minor issues: Exhaust leak ($1000 to replace the whole thing), drive side weather stripping is on it’s way out [updated] - fixed ($150), rear passenger door lock actuator ($150.00), backlight bulbs on the radio ($20.00), subwoofer ($100).

So I figure about $3500 - $4000.00 to fix it right (which I what I would do). But probably about $1700 to get it back to normal condition.

[updated] car is fixed back to a normal operating condition.

I’m firm on the price, I won’t take a dollar less, so don’t even ask.
