I saw that post myself, not worth it IMO considering it's already got 177k and if you buy the car for 3k, you will end up prob spending about another 3k for engine + labor.
There's many others for appx 6k on CL with less mileage and less work needed.

i have a gold 2000 rx for sale. it just broke 120k on it, it needs a new rear main seal and an exhaust gasket. i might end up fixing those two issues in the next couple of weeks since i just finished school for the semester/summer. let me know if ur interested
