FS or TRADE: Quite possibly the rarest, 1997 SC400 DWP/ Black Leather
The time has come to sell my most recent addition to my car collection. I bought this car in Atlanta,GA last fall. I was casually looking through Autotrader when I cam across this jewel of a find. A Realitivly low mileage 1997 SC400 in Diamond White Pearl. Nice as it was, the black leather caught my attention the most. I had a 1999 SC300 previously with Black exterior and Black leather. I love the Sc300/400 cars alot, but I will only buy if its got black interior. And White exterior is my favorite....lol
So a long story short, I had to have it, so i went and bought it. I had planned of swapping the auto for the r154 5 speed, and building the motor high compression with some kelford cams. Plans have changed, and i now need a four door car!!!! BABY on the way!
Incidentally, I have collected some extra parts for the car, that can be included or bought in addition. Just depends on the deal we work out.
1997 Supra turbo shock with eibach lowering springs
1997 Supra turbo front and rear calipers with cross drilled rotors
MK3 R154 transmission with driveshaft
A little about the car now....
It currently has 122,000 miles on the ODO.
The car is completely stock. Never been modifiied or molested in any way. According to carfax, the car was originally a california car, and the second owner purchased and drove it in atlanta area. I am the third owener. I purchased it last fall with 117,000 miles. So in a years time i have put a little over 5,000 miles on it. Its obviously not driven daily.
I just put brand new kelly charger tires on it last week, and it also got a brand new battery from advance auto parts. The keyless remote is brand new as well.
Exterior:
The exterior is in really great shape. I would give it a 8/10. For its age, i havent seen a cleaner 1997 in a long time. The paint is all original. All the VIN tags are in place. There are a few scratches on the back bumper, and on the right door. These are hairline scratches in the paint, and might be able to be buffed out. The headlights are in very good condition. No borken tabs, and are very clear. The window trim around the drivers side quarter is showing some wear and tear, but could easily be taped off and re painted. Passenger side is in great shape.
Interior:
The interior is in really great shape also. The window trim that is around the door is NOT cracked through the leather yet. They all do it, but this one hasn't yet. The leather is still soft in the car. All controls work, A/C blow very cold, and all of the lighting in the cluster works. The floormats are in excellent shape, and it also has the trunk mat, which is in perfect shape. The CD changer does sometimes have problems loading a disc. I was told it needs new rubber rollers to pull the disc in. The Radio works good, and the antenna isn't broken. I dont have any tapes, so I can't vouch for it.
There is a Check Engine Light, which i have scanned, and it appears to be an emissions code that's tied to the charcoal canister. I did a little research, and supposedly the dealer is supposed to cover it. I never checked into, but the car runs very good, so i didnt car it was on.
I feel I have described the car to the best of my abilities, and i welcome anyone who wants to look at it to give me a phone call to ask questions or look at the car. 865-233-0598 is my work number, ask for Mark.
BTW the car gets around 20mpg around the city...
I do need a 4 door car, so I am open to any possible trades you might have.
