My IS300 is for sale
The time has come, I've found the M3 I want & I'm trying to buy it (hopfully this works out), so with that said:
2001 IS300 Diamond White Pearl
- Black (suede) interior
- automatic w. tiptronc (M mode)
- fully loaded with every option
Here's what I've had replaced since I bought it
- Water pump
- Timing belt
- O2 sensor (#2 bank 2 - the one under the passenger seat)
- CD stacker - the whole radio/CD/tape unit is new (yea! I have a tape deck) - replaced with OEM Lexus unit
- - - - O2 sensor & CD stakcer are known for failing from the factory / until they've been replaced, but I've taken care of that so you won't have to worry about it
- Front bumper
- Whole front of car has been resprayed
- Rear spoler has also been resprayed
- - - - note: the bumper & both resprays were just to clean up scrapes and rock chips
- new front windshield (replaced for clearer vision) - PPG solar glass
- full sized spare rim is brand new, never driven on - OEM Lexus rim, matches the rest of the stockers on the car
- A/C fluid - not for any reason, but the guys had to drain the A/C to get at something else & you can't reuse A/C fluid, so new stuff went in
- Bosch ICON wiper blades - - approx 6mo old & haven't seen much use yet
- Tires: Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position (on stock 17" rims) - - they have less than a year of ware on them (amazing tires in the wet, feels like you're on dry)
Mods:
- CF grill - lets more air in so the engine can breathe better
- completely debadged exterior (I still have all the decals)
- tint from the B-pillar back (note: rear window defogger works perfectly, tint did not affect the wiring)
- any time something had to be replaced (brakes, tires, etc) I always upgraded
- the 100k mile service (notoriously a big one) was done with the water pump & timing belt so those have been upgraded as well
- color matched license plate frames
- full Rain-X treatments on all the windows & ext side mirrors - - I keep up the coating to avoid glass damage from things (bugs, leaves, etc) being swept across by the wiper blades
Benifits to the 01 over other IS300 years
- Suede interior
- more agressive stance (lower than later years when stock)
- real rear slip differential (later on, Lexus changed to no slip dif or an electronic one only)
- no 'melting dash' problem
In the trunk
- Full sized spare w. tire (rim matches the ones on the car)
- tools for changing your rim road side (expandible jack etc)
- first aid kit (I've used one bandage so the kit is still complete)
- the decals I took off the outside
- cargo net
- lock nut socket head (rims have locking nuts)
Also included
- touch up pen w. paint color on one end & diamond top coat on the other
- can of spray paint - same color as car (no I didn't spray paint my car, it's what I used to color match the license plate frames)
Mine was serviced @ Lexus for the first half of its life and it now goes to Comptech (they're awesome guys, really know their stuff). I've never taken it any where random & I've never attempted to 'do it myself'.
Car sleeps in the garage & I've taken really good care of it. Never driven in winter (that's what Rover is for) & absolutely 100% no rust.
- Note: Lexus from Canada get an undercoating to protect against rust (not sure if you guys do, or if it's an option for you, it's standard for us)
It's an awesome car, I love it & I'm sad that it's going to be leaving me (I almost certainly wouldn't be selling it if it were manual transmission)
Kms: 158,xxx
Asking: $15,950 CDN (open to offers)
FYI: I'm posting it here first.
