To answer your question, seeing that Lexus sales are up since the rollout of the new design language, its likely going to be never. If you don't like it lots of other people make cars with different looks.

I love the new look, finally Lexus is making something aggressive looking that makes a statement, and not just another boring copy-cat look of every other import.
I was even commenting to my wife that the IS-C still has the old style grille/fascia and I was wondering if they were ever going to update it. But I doubt it because I think the convertible is moving to the RC line.

That's the problem they are copy cats. Take a side view look. Same pimple roof design, same plastic strips down each side of the roof. Only thing different is ah, not much, even others have that ugly front.

Thats where you're wrong. Lexus is just now starting to design things that are their own design language. The LS400 was the epitome of derivative styling.
