Lexus previewed its future coupes with the LF-LC hybrid concept shown at the Detroit show. Global head of product planning and marketing Karl Schlicht put the price range of a possible production version between $100,000 and $130,000.

Sounds about right as a CL-Class competitor. Glad to hear a strong indication that this car is actually being considered for production.

$100k to $130k is a total deal killer for me. Since this is a hybrid, why can't they just make a fuel efficient, fun to drive car for $50k. What a disappointment.

I'm sure the upcoming IS Hybrid will fit that bill, but the LF-LC is an LS-based true luxury coupe that competes with the likes of the CL-Class, and you expect it to cost just $50k?

For a high end hybrid luxury coupe, $100k+ is OK , it's just @ the price range of the current LS600hL, .. But why does it have to be hybrid only ? I wish they would offer a V8 gasoline version also and price it a little below $100K ......

Agreed. There's no reason for it to be hybrid-only. A base gasoline version should start at no more than $10k more than the LS Sport IMHO, which probably means $85k.

It almost seems like they want a production supercar. A permanent LF-A to compete with the other cars.

Default Awesome Coupe built by Lexus the Right Way!

I love this car!! If Lexus builds this car and stays true to the concept version, and the price is between $100k - $130k, I am most definitely buying one...

When the pics first came out, I set them up as my wallpaper and my screensaver!

Wow!
