Default More info on next LEXUS LS...from CSS

I went to CSS...and...

a member works at a lexus dealership, and his bosses went to Toronto to view the new LS and ES, and this is what he had to say

OK, the top brass got back from Toronto after seeing the new ES and LS. I showed them all the pictures in this thread. The unanimous comment was that the back of the pictures posted by dLd_Solstive (which were also posted before) is spot on, particularly the exhausts. They all said the front is more aggressive than what appears in those pictures, like they rounded the edges.
They also mentioned the interior of the long wheelbase model is unbelievable, with drop down monitors and recliner seats with foot rests. We should see it in showroom next October.
the pictures he is refering to are these ones

here is the thread from CSS

The back is spot on???? The back looks GS-like, which is rather bland but ok. The exhausts make me think of Acura TL, which is iffy. I love the round twin exhausts from the original LS, up through the current New GS and IS...to go square-ish is rather strange. Hopefully they'll be 'round-rect.' Time for something different, I suppose. The larger size may be more 'Flagship.'

Glad to hear the front is MORE aggressive. It has to be!

Lastly, the interior rumors are TANTALIZING...'unbelievable' is a strong word!!!! Although just yesterday I was at a bookstore and picked up some Euro car ratings magazine, for the LS it said "possibly the best equipped car in the world." You better believe it!!!

Thanks for the info!

I just hope they dont package the new LS so stupidly that you cant get what you really want or need. Sort of like what they are doing with the IS.

To me, the IS packaging comes as no surprise having seen the LS price package negotiations...few get the Ultra Luxury Selection, which truly vaults the $60,000 LS up to $72,000+ S-class/7-series/greater price ranges. That said, we have to see how the IS price packaging negotations play out over the next few months.

But the standard LS already comes very wonderfully equipped--moonroof, SmartAccess, extra convenience features throughout (power controls for everything, backseat mirror visors!)

I imagine the coming LS to do the same, but expand the classification to two tiers of complexity, LS 460, and LS 460L (which I imagine will already vault up in price significantly over the LS 460, w/o any options). I wonder what features may be exclusive to only the LS 460L. I hope most if not all features will be available on both models. Exclusivity might be warranted to the 460L but moreso perhaps on the LS 600h.

yea the next LS will have a regular and a long wheelbase version just like the audi 8 series and bmw 7 series. The regular wheelbase (ready?) is going to be 7 inches longer than the current model, while the long wheelbase will be 12 inches longer than the current model. Pretty nice, eh?
And yes, one of them will have reclining seats, footrests, and some kind of new way to display things
here is some more info...i'm seeing how this person knows this info, but i will check back
