Default LFA prototype rims were better than the production version

I though the prototypes were unique and looked great so I'm really surprised they replaced them with the new version which is very similair to a lot of other rims already on the market. Plus the new ones look smaller visually compared to the prototypes

If I was dumb/crazy/rich enough to drop 400K on the first attempt by Lexus to build a Super Car I would change the wheels anyway

Not really sure what you mean by that... Does that mean you are saying LFA buyers are either dumb or crazy?

They are neither dumb nor crazy, just that the price difference between the LFA and the GT-R is like a $30 difference to them

They can probably look at real cars like they are 1:18 models

As with many supercars, and certainly for the *first* modern supercar from a manufacturer, there are going to be wildly different opinions; I'll just agree to disagree regarding whether the LFA is a worthy effort (IMO yes). As for the rims, I was initially afraid they were going to be simple five-spokes based on the Crystallised Wind concept, but the production model shows they are five-spoke shape but with ten bars.

I think they should offer a few different rims as choices ...

They may or may not. What they are doing for sure is offering different styles of the same rim; different coatings and finishes.

Love those LFA wheels! Looks especially good in the gunmetal color.

Sorry a bit OT: I really wish Lexus used that exact back end. Love the L-shape of those tail lights and the general curve of the rear makes it look sexier while reducing the visual impact of those giant side vents on the rear view.

I like them both. Clearly split spokes are the trend now for looks and they help with brake cooling and showing those brakes.

They are BBS wheels so I have no complaints
