With the SC 430 sticking around for another year, I'm hopeful this is a sign they plan on continuing the SC line, and a successor is coming.

As I shared in Car Chat....Lexus is still not even certain of the next SC direction. Its not going anywhere, its just not going anywhere

Well, how did the 1 SC do? If it did well and the 2 SC didn't, maybe that's a little hint that the 2 SC wasn't as desirable

If one looks at 1SC sales, they started phenomenally but fell within 2 years real fast...in the final 9th year they only sold 631 units. By contrast the higher-priced 2SC started more modestly, and has had a more gradual decline as a result; yet now in its 9th year with 636 sold as of October 2009--very close in an era of economic uncertainty. It seems that both models have taken a 9 year cycle...I'm guessing that a 3SC will be priced like the 2SC or above, with luxury to match, but whether it will have 1SC traits as well remains to be seen.

Even though the SC 300 was less expensive compared to the SC 400 the SC 400 was outselling the SC 300 at a certain point in it's first generation cycle...

i can see that, but i tend to believe over the life of the 1sc, more 300 were sold than 400

1SC debuted during a good time, the yen DESTROYED the car as the price went from 35k to 55k in just 3-4 years. Coupes went out and SUVs went in.
2SC was always a limited production car, only 12k for the USA the first year and 10k thereafter. Volume wise that is nothing, even in its heyday. 2SC was substantially more then the 1SC and we have to remember no 2SC 300/330/350 has been offered.
My take, I would like to see a LS-c become the next "SC" in regards to being a grand tourer. The LS is about luxury and I think a LS-c would be great.
I would like so see the SC really take the name "Sport coupe" back serious and get harder edged....
The good thing about the names "c".. as in IS-C, we can hopefully see a GS-C and LS-C along with a SC 430.
