NX Running Boards noise puddles
the OEM running boards (dealer installed) for the NX has a rather loud rain drops on a metal roof sound when it's raining and going over roads with some accumulation of water
it's rather pronounced inside the cabin, myself and another forum member both have noticed this.
Please investigate options to mitigate this.

how should I proceed in regards to keeping abreast of the review? I was planning on trying a DIY fix of foam tape and waterproof tape, but don't want to spend the effort if a retroactive fix from Lexus is an option in the future.
thanks!

Typically a fix would be released in the form of a Lexus Service Bulletin which is an addition to the repair manual. You can check with your dealer or message us here and we can provide an update. It is possible the review may return a decision that the vehicle is operating as designed. In that case we can look into other options to ensure your satisfaction. Unfortunately, I cannot quote a timeline for resolution...

Hey Typocl!
I'm a new owner of the 2016 NX 200t F Sport and was wondering how loud the rain drops are? Have you found any workarounds? I was going to install the running boards to resolve the problem of getting dirt/snow/debris in between the doors but then I ran into this issue of the noise. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

we haven't had rain for quite a while, so nothing to complain about
I had toyed with the idea of a can of liquid rubber and setting up dams, then pouring it in. But I'm too lazy. I can't remove the running boards, as they are useful for the toddlers to get in and out.
