Default 2013 Lexus gs 350 f sport water in truck issue

I have a 13 Lexus gs 350 awd f sport and I keep noticing water in the trunk under the sides where the little cubby slot is and under where the spare tire tool kit is. My warranty is expired and wanted to know what options there are? Or if Lexus can still warranty this

Your vehicle is still under warranty, as long as the vehicle is under 50,000 miles. I apologize that I wouldn't be able to guarantee the coverage because it does need to be inspected by a dealer. The dealer must determine where the water is coming from and what is causing it to leak into the trunk.

We conducted some research and were not able to locate any TSB's or documentation that indicates this is a known issue.

If you need assistance locating a dealer visit: http://www.lexus.com/dealers

I'm at 73,000 miles way over warranty so not sure what to do. I know dealer would charge a arm and a leg to look for leak

They do charge a diagnostic fee, which can vary from dealer to dealer. Taking the time to inspect the issue now can actually save you money in the future. Issues like this can cause major damage to the vehicle's interior which could cost you more in the long run.

I had this issue with a previous car I owned (not lexus). The problem was the rubber gasket around the rear lens. You might want to remove the light assembly and see if that's where it's coming in from.

Have a TRUSTED friend lock you in the trunk with a flashlight. Have them take a garden hose to the surrounding area around the trunk area. This has always worked for me with leaking trunks.
Sounds crazy but, it's probably what a dealer tech would do.

The trunks now have a glow in the dark pull tab to release the trunk locks in case the trusted friend is no longer trustworthy. Mandated by NHTSA. Not like when we grew up as kids.
