Radio Anti-Theft code reset?
Hello, I own a 2000 SC300 with 160k miles, non-nakamichi. Recently the car was out of use for a while and the battery drained to the point where it was completely dead. I charged it back up and started driving and I noticed that the stereo system no longer works.
What's happening is, the stereo turns on and can cycle between AM, FM, CD and Cassette and whatnot, but no sound plays from the speakers, no matter what the mode is set to. The antenna retracts and extends as normal, but again, no sound, regardless of what position the volume **** is at. I figure this has to do with lexus' early-90's rigorous anti-theft protocols, and there has to be a code input to the stereo for it to work again. Is there any way I can just get the code without having to drive all the way to Charlotte (the location of my nearest dealership) and drop 90 dollars for a diagnosis and 200 to fix it? I know how to go through the diagnosis myself, and i've gone through it but it gives me no DTC's.
My VIN is JT8-CD32Z-6Y1007506 if you need it.
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the audio system may be faulty at this point. However, we cannot fully diagnose the vehicle because we are not technically trained. I have located the following information which suggests it may be time to visit the dealer. Check it out below.

I doubt it, it worked just fine before the battery ran dry and the diagnostics don't show any codes. I might try taking it out, unplugging and replugging everything back again to see if that resets it.
Also, just confirming the presence of a code of some sort:
from the 2000 SC Repair manual.

We do not believe it is a reset code for the radio because typically this code locks the radio so that no component is available until the code is input into the system. If that were the case you would not have access to any of the audio functions.
If this repair attempt works for you, please let us know so we may add this information to our data systems.
