A/V input on 2014 is250 f-sport (non nav)
Hey guys,
I am currently losing sleep on choosing an F-sport over a regular is250 with nav. I don't have nav, but I am trying desperately to hook up my iPhone 5 to the monitor in the car for not only navigation purposes, but to watch movies at lunch or even while I am waiting on the wife lol.
I have 2 USB input and an "a/v input" in my console. I say"A/V input" because it is a headphone jack and I dont see how there is any way to push video from my iPhone (youtube etc) to my car. Any ideas? Any options? Any way to hack the planet and get navigation installed? blah!! Thanks for the help in the mean time!!

ahh unfortunately u have fallen victim to what i now call the Orchard effect.... do u have iOs6 or 7??? if its 7 then good luck til at least after sema (and possibly CES) as all aftermarket apple mods just became (80%) compatible with iOs6 (the week before they released iOs7) which is f'n hilarious to me....i'd chk out prestigious society they may have something but if its 7 then i highly doubt it.... u can always drop the crapple get an android and an Ivic unit should work great...
sorry to be harsh but i'm sooo sick of apple issues they went from the goto product to the product i hate to deal with... 25yrs in car audio an its the quickest fall from grace since the in car vcr,,lmao...
but seriously i'd expect mid spring to early summer before a viable solution is available.. sorry

Vaistech is working on a system compatible with 2014 models. They should have something ready in about 2 months as I was told by one of their customer service representatives.

ok so heres the scoop on the A/V input, i just figured it out
what you have to do is get a camcorder A/V cable like this one:
then get a composite coupler like this:
then connect the wires to the coupler like this:
and there you go!
I hooked up a dvd player to it just to test it
