Default Recommendations For A Good Dash Cam

anyone.... decent priced so under $200/$250? know nothing about them but the area i work in i def need one nowadays so give me your thoughts please

only 379 for the 32gb shipped. awesome.

i have a blackvue also, although i only got the 1 channel. it works great.

can i buy the 16gb and put a 32gb card in it to make the same unit?

Yes - I'd recommend getting the 16GB version, and buying a 64gb card separately (you will need to format it using the blackvue software the first time, before you install it - else, it will not initialize the 64gb card).
Also, you can get it cheaper from ebay. $350 will get you the 2 channel DR650GW & the powermagic pro. (power magic pro will allow you to hardwire this to your car, so it can record even when car is off, without draining your battery too much)

Yea blackvue is awesome only thing that sucks is that I forgot my dam wifi password and can't reset it

I've been experimenting with using old smartphones as a dashcam with dismal success. The video quality is awesome with the Samsung Galaxy S5, even 1080p 60fps, but I get a lock screen to work and keep automatic recording.

Very easy. Just plug into your computer, and launch their software - one click will format it. And you only need to format it once (before you install it the first time into your camera). No need to format it after that (unless you format it for a different device)

Please take a look at the Street Guardian and look at the videos of their camera to compare. I am looking to pick this model up come spring time and hook it up on my 2009 ES350.

Looks decent. You can read number plates on the videos which is important.

ACTUALLY i got the 2 channel DR650GW, the powermagic pro, the 64gb card, and shipping for $291

so how do i format this thing when i get it?
