JL Audio 10IB4 Sub install in 93' SC300

awsome post! now it being almost 10 years later lol. was wondering what kind of amp you used to fit tht tight space? I thought we had a stock 10' sub already in the car?! I was planning on removing the old one for a new one but was confused if I should use a 2ohms or 4 ohms sub and if I should use a mono amp (they can get kinda pricey =/) currently have a pioneer head unit in the car but seeing how the stock amp is still pluged in i can hear noise in the back ground everytime I turn the head unit on.. People have said its the stock amp interearing and it doesnt appear that the stock sub works anymore. It sounded better with the stock head unit in the car but the 12 disc player went out the cassette player was broken and antenna wasnt working!! PITA! so yea a couple specs on models to date would be kool. I had bought a aftermarket box from this company in florida that matched our carpet and fit flush in the trunk but I think they went out of buisness. I had mounted my memphis amp on the rear dash so it would conserve space. But now I want to just swap the stock sub out insted. I think it will sound wayyy cleaning coming from the inside of the car vs the trunk.. thanks again! grat post!

Lol I wonder if I can fit a 12" sub in there. Worth a try right? I just hate taking the seats off and the deck lol. Retooled my speakers a few days ago still gotta do the sub though.
