Default ES300 Keeping my Nakamichi head unit but wiring a different sub and amp?

So a while back (like an idiot) I split the signal from the stock Nakamichi amp going to the factory subwoofer into two leads and ran them into another sub (1200w Sony). This was all good and fine until I fried the amp one day.

So basically what I'm asking is, how can I run an aftermarket sub and amp (while keeping the factory amplifier for the interiors and tweeters) without running a dedicated L/R RCA output from the back of the head unit?

I'm basically thinking I'm going to run the (+) and (-) from the battery to the aftermarket amp, but then I need the remote wire to power it up (I have no clue which one the remote wire is because there are two separate amplifiers in the factory Nakamichi setup). I'm also going to need to somehow disconnect the audio signal wires from the factory amp and run them all the way back to the aftermarket amp (Is this even possible?)

Anyway, I would really appreciate some suggestions. If this isn't worth the effort, I'm going to opt for an aftermarket 4-channel in-dash, but I rather wouldn't if I don't have to.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Steven

Is it that you don't want to run a dedicated rca line out or is it because it doesn't have a line out?

Well it's the factory Nakamichi head unit. I haven't removed it to verify that there are no RCA outputs, but I'm guessing that they didn't really include those in the OEM units back in 1999. I suppose what I'm asking is can I reroute the speaker signal wire(s) from the factory amp to the aftermarket amp and still accomplish the same function as dedicated RCA-outs for a subwoofer?

I figure there is only one, maybe two signal wires going into the factory amp for the sub, but can an aftermarket amp pick up the audio signal from that same wire?

My choice would be to use something like an Audio Control LC2i. Here's a link:
