Hey everyone, what model cars have a compatible alternator that will fit on my 1997 lexus ES300 ?

I need an alternator with more "oomph"

I would prefer atleast 120 amps.

Could you all post the year of the cars with compatible alternators, and also what version of the car (what I mean by that is say....Camry "XLE") ect ect.

easiest search would be to get the lexus part number for the alternator... then cross reference the toyota parts dept... they usually have the same or very similar part numbers

also chk with an alternator/starter repair shop some places can take the oem housing and rewind the unit to add extra power... i have done this to a few cars over the yrs when no other option was avail... a 20% increase in output is about the norm....

Do they make connection adapters for alternators ? I see that there is a 150amp option alternator for a 2005 Toyota Sienna but it uses the square connector type and my ES has a almost rectangle shaped connector.

you may need to get the sienna harness and cut your es harness then wire in the sierra harness...
