Sup CL

I have a 92 sc300 with a xovision 7inch double din installed. My radio has been installed for 3 years and has worked flawlessly. I just finish a 1jz swap a couple of months ago and the radio was working fine.

But last weeks or some reason my radio is not getting any power.
So I pulled the radio and checked the voltage to the power wire but I'm not getting a full 12 to the line I believe it was reading 4.7. Any ideas on what's happening?

I am having the same issue... I believe its a ground issue on mine I don't know where but I believe, If are head units ain't getting power more less it's going to boil down to a grounding issue. Have you checked your hot wire with a Volt Meter.. If it's hot try to cross the ground to something and see if the head unit comes on...

Hmmm thanks for the idea sir, I'll try that sucks not having a radio

Yes it does... Oh by the way you do have the ant wire connected right... I know Lexus is pretty funny useing the Ant. Wire as an supporting ground too... sometimes at work it gets me all the time...lol

It's been 4 months and I still can't get this radio to work Grrr

I even picked up another radio and that didn't even power up

I'm wonder if the kick panel wires are fried but I doubt it since volume ****(light up only), haz, climate controls all light up and function

Would my cigarette light have something to do with it since it's removed?
