johnsc400,
What are you asking?
Are you asking if the amp is powered by the DECK?
Like WHAT is to the speakers and sub are or not?
Can you be a bit more clear?

Basically I was asking if the NAk headunit up front is powered by the amp? I wan't to add a single disc cd player up front and get rid of my stock 12disc setup. With the new cd player, will I have to hook it up to the stock nak amp?

What CAR do you have?
Assuming new NAK system, which I can comment on, the head unit receives its own power thru its own harness. The headunit and amp are powered separately. If what you're saying is that you're going to trash the stock headunit and changer and replace it, you may need to insert a line driver between a new headunit and stock amp (the stock amp receives higher-than-line-level signals from the stock headunit).
Your best bet: Chuck the headunit, CD changer and amp and replace with aftermarket, IF you insist on not having the changer. Your signals will be cleaner, and your amp more powerful, and you won't have to deal with messy stock issues.
