2008 LS460 with Gen5 Navi Bluetooth Audio adapter
Hello All! I'm looking for a solution to my wife's "new" LS460 for streaming Audio. Obviously she can pop open her center console and plug into the 3.5mm AUX port to listen to the audio on her phone, but there are several options out there that use that same AUX connection to plug a Bluetooth adapter into. I was wondering if anybody was using any of such adapters, which one it is, and it's pro's/con's.
Biggest gripes tend to be poor audio quality and lack of auto-connect.
Thanks for any info!

Ok, I found that the Bluetooth adapter we were using in her old car (that did not have an AUX port) works perfectly. This unit:

Was used in her old car to transmit her bluetooth connection over FM, which was nice. But I found yesterday that it also had a 3.5mm "Audio Out" hole. So I plugged the 3.5mm cable from her AUX to that.
My initial worry was, this unit is also a hands free so it used the hands free bluetooth profile as well as the music streaming bluetooth profile AD2P, but I wanted the hands free to still be thru the car, I just wanted audio streaming to come thru this adapter.
Well it works perfectly! It even auto connects! On her iphone 5 it shows her being connected to 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously, her car, and this adapter. So if she wants to listen to audio from her phone, she just switches over to Aux on her car stereo and plays her music. When a phone call comes in, the music mutes, when her call is over it plays again. The only thing different from a gen6 unit is the music info on the screen and the ability to play/pause/next from the nav screen, but she's happy. Happy bluetoothing all!
