I bought my 95 sc400 and there are after market speakers in the rear. I've read that there are amps in these cars that boost the speakers (2 for bose and 1 for nakamichi?). The after market speakers are very low even when I turn the volume all the way up.

So....do the amps only work with stock speakers or are they integrated into the wiring such that any speakers receive benefits of the amp?

Worked with either speaker doesnt matter. The ohm resistance is going to be different if you use*a*different subwoofer. It is a Pioneer not a Bose. You are correct about the Pioneer having two amps and the Nak has only one.
