Need your suggestion: 12W6V3 OR IDQ12V3
I need your suggestion, I got a custom built sub box on the side in the trunk of my IS. The box volume is about 0.90 cu ft. Thinking to get either 1 JL 12W6V3 or 1 Image Dynamics IQD 12V3. I might run JL 500/1 amp. W6V3 is the new version just came out for about 2 weeks, pretty sure it's improved. It fits the small box but still recommend about 1 cu ft. My question is will output and sound quality good with my small box? And another choice is IDQ 12V3. Have heard that this sub has good sound quality, also pretty sure it require small box which is like 0.9 cu ft. that will fit my custom box with nice output for sure. I like the tight bass. Both are really good sub, such a hard choice, so need to hear what you guys say.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. I currently have a 12" Idq v3 with 500 watts and it sounds great. I also used to have a 12" w6v2 and it sounded good as well.
Pretty much up to which one looks better and which fits your budget better...

Personal I prefer JL more but kind of worry it won't sound that good with the samll box. The old JL w6v2 require the big box, w6v3 is the new version I want to get, it just came out not much review I can find that's why. On JL's website it says w6v3 just require 1 cu ft box, but really don't know how it will sounds like.
Will have no problem with IDQ it just need small box.
I'm looking for tight bass and sound quality.
Were you running the same amp and box with IDQ and W6V2? Can you tell the difference?

No I actually ran the w6v2 off an audiobahn amp which gave it about 560 watts. The Idq ran off a audioque amp at 500 watts.
I think the Idq sounded a little tighter and had slightly better sound quality..
It might've been the amp.
