If so how did you do it? What I am trying to do is keep the stock speaker covers also I don't really see a clear cut way to get these mounted so I would like to hear 1st hand from people who have done his.

When I searched I found people just cut slits and bend them however I would prefer not to go that route if I can help it.

I didn't do it personally but the shop that did my stereo build did. Focal 6.5's which run big so they're technically 6.75". Not sure if the speakers dropped right in or if they had to cut anything away. Then they just used the new mounts they made. Uses the stock covers and everything looks stock.

Everything is the same but I have a Kenwood double din navigation unit now.

Wow that's a good idea! I will have to look in to this when I do mine this week, I was only worried about the rear parcel shelf fitting back over them but if it fits when you do it this way then I am good.

I installed 6.5 Polk audio components, and I had to cut and make a bracket similar to the above install. If you do cut, tape off your glass to protect window film.
