i have done quite a few. if you want the graphical interface the ml+ is a huge step up. and of course the digital video part makes it that much better as well. so far ppl i know they are very happy

I totaly agree that its a big jump from what i have , the only thing that warry me is installation as i am living in Dubia and i do not blaive that any one here has an idia about it, Plus that Vais does not provide any generic installation guide for lexus.

but you have installed the sl2i-up before right? the installation is more or less the same, you still have to access the back of the radio and the navigation unit, which means pretty much the exact steps (different harnesses). of course you will need to find a spot to hide the ml+ unit but the lx570 is pretty big and got space behind / below glove box.

or, fly me out there?

i have done a few upgrades from sl2i-up to ml+, everyone has been impressed

u can get rich here in dubai cuz not many ppl do that kind of installation,

i did not have problem installing the SL2i and i would imagine the same thing for the ML+ , do u have any pics or the wiring diagram.

umm i should consider relocation!

if you did the sl2i-up install yourself, then the ml+ is pretty much the same thing, except now you have another set of cable going to the back of the navigation screen as well. unfortunately i don't have pics myself, just in my brain.

with the sl2i-up, you either have the 12-pin or the 20-pin going to the back of radio. with the ml+, it's the 12-pin. then you have another set of high speed digital video (blue plugs) that goes to the back of navigation. then the rest should be trivial.

just make sure you get the original apple component video cable. aftermarket doesn't work.

also, i assume you have the 08-09? 2010+ is a whole different story

I guess it will work fine and if not it does really matter cuz i hardly use the rear system any way,

i was wondering if the seperet HDD that i can order is an extra piece that i have to look for a space to put or does it come impeded in the ML+ ,

I do not see a big usage for the HDD exept to copy something from a friend , what do u guys think

i have installed quite a few ml+ with the ps override and they work very well together.

i guess main question first is, is ml+ compatible with 2013 yet?

the 2013 is a completely new generation of system, so maybe they are working on it
