Help! headunit won't turn on
Hey guys, i have a 96 LS400 with pioneer system(non-nak) and i hooked up...(or at least tried to) a pioneer avh-p2400bt, but it wont turn on at all. i had a multimeter and the 12v constant/ground shows 9v, and the ACC/ground shows 12v when key is turned. I wired the ACC to the gray wire pin #6 on the Gray plug, Brown wire pin #14 to the ground, and the blue/yellow stripe pin #1 wire to the yellow 12v. Can the problem be the low voltage coming from the hotwire? there's power on the wires, but the unit won't even turn on at all. 10A fuse on the unit is also good btw. I really don't know what is wrong and any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

those plugs are on the amplifier side. R3C gray plug i clipped wires from are on the headunit side. I used the wiring diagram at the bottom of that same thread you showed me titled lf1rap96. I went ahead and tapped the 12v constant AND the acc from the headunit onto the 12v switched coming from the car and got the unit to turn on, but since it now lacks a constant 12v, the unit has no memory and resets every time i shut the car down. I believe it's time to just take it to a shop and get it done the right way...so much for a DIY hahahahah.
