huge system just installed know it seems to cut out???
well i just installed
PKD4 4AWG DUAL AMP POWER KIT, ROHS COMPLIANT
IX500.4 4X125-WATT FOUR-CHANNEL FULL-RANGE CLASS D AMPLIFIER
ZX2500.1 2500-WATT MONO SUBWOOFER AMPLIFIER
RS65.2 6.5" (165MM) COMPONENT SYSTEM WITH 1" (25MM)TWEETERS, ROHS COMPLIANT
KS693 6X9-INCH (1152X229mm) 3-WAY SPEAKER
DUAL SOLO-BARIC S12L7 12 INCH (300MM) SUBWOOFERS IN VENTED BOX, 2-OHM,
as soon as the i turn it up the and the bass startes hitting the voice cut out and then the subs stopped untill i turned off the subs the voice came back
just put in a new yellowtop optima battary and the headlights did not dim
any ideas ????

or check the gains on the amp it sounds like its clipping.. id swap to a red top batt.. (1000cca) same power as the yellow but it recharges faster..
add the 2nd batt (red also)but the 4awg should suffice as the major load would come from the batt in trunk..(just make sure u add a fuse b4 the batt) if not adding 2nd batt THEN goto 0awg
heres a simple test: put a volt meter at the amp terminals an measure voltage at high volumes.. if it stays over 11.5 no worries (prob clipping)
if it drops lower then u have a voltage issue.. make sure u grind away the paint around ur ground. an add a 4awg ground to the batt under the hood (to another location than factory also grinding away paint, to double metal if poss) and run a ground from the engine block to chassis.. u may also look at upgrading the wire comin from the alternator itself...(no bigger than 4awg)
most people forget the ground is the most important connection as voltage runs - to + not the other way round...
