Default What is the real top battery these days?

So ive previously used the Optima Red Top but now im about to switch from my stock Lexus battery to an Optima Yellow Top 34/78 since im running a 1000/1 amp (however that is measured at 14v). Ive been reading a bunch of bad reviews on the yellow tops...has optima gone down in quality?

Any other brands I should consider? Ive heard Stingers are not bad either. When I swap out the battery ill also be upgrading the ground cable to 0 gauge. I heard that doing the whole big 3 wont help unless you upgrad to a HO alt...any truth in that?

Thanks all!

i've heard awesome things about odyssey batteries -- to save some cash, diehard platinums are made by odyssey and have more or less the same specs as odyssey branded batteries

I bought the Stinger 1500D and I'm super happy with. It's deep cycle and has 825 Cold Cranking Amps with brass terminals and it fits perfect in stock location.

i was checkin those out, 100 more bucks than the yellow top...does anyone know which has a better warranty? most batteriest last arond 4 years but I heard about people having them die in 2. I know climate plays a role in it but I wouldnt think it would be so dramatic

i have a yellow top (bout a year into it) & it still works just fine. couple of friends recommended me to stick to the yellow tops since they claim to last long in their experiences (5+ years). im running both type S speakers & dual subs so not too sure if it would last long to power up stronger subs.
