I believe that your father is a great source of information but I would caution using his information without gathering all the parameters for such. Not every sitaution is the same. Not that this applies directly to this sitaution but in similar cases, I have had many customers say they have a friend whos a mechanic and told them to do such and such. It usually ended badly or I should say costly. Lesson of the day just because your friend is a mechanic doesn't mean he knows car electronics. Great base to learn it though.

Got some pics of the Stinger matting installed on the rear deck, wheel well, trunk walls, trunk lid. Back seat and entire rear looks like it was stolen!

The box being built and test fitted. New rear view camera installed off to the left side to allow room for the laser detector bar.

Haha...too funny! That'd be sick! Here are a couple with the woofer being test fitted and the thin piece of wood trimming surrounding the port so the air movement enters up into the cabin through the rear deck that has been cut out.

Are you referring to the rears? I'm gonna run the stock 6 1/2" and 1" tweeter in the doors under deck power for now since they're just for fill. If I think I'll need more, I'll add another set of Hertz components ( 2 ways) and an amp.

Is this what you were referring to?

And these are 3 speakers per front door if that's what you were referring to. Tweeter, mid bass, and bass speakers.

ah yes that was what I was referring to. I thought you were just running the 3 way components with the center channel without anything in the rear.

Thanks for keeping me in check though. I kinda didn't want to spend any more $. Even though it's a few more hundred. I'll see what it sounds like. I'm having them run new speaker wire to the rears anyways since it's wide open.
