with the bit one, do you need to use the controller, or can you use the factory volume ***** on the headunit?

You can still use the HU or steering wheel volume controls. If you use the volume control on the Bit One DRC, you have a few more options available, such as dynamic eq control, sub level control, tuning presets, etc. But for volume I use both about equally.

@ AZ IS350 thanks for the heads up on the LCQ-1.. i just ordered 2.. not a big fan of eq's but it may help alot in flattening out the RTA a lil.. an the sub control will be a plus (big step up from LC-6's originally planned on using)

Update..cant get the LCQ1 to work properly with the ML amp it (ML AMP) requires a resistive load to provide proper output and the LCQ1 cant do this..i have tried multiple resistors an no luck..going to sell them.. an start again for now i have 6 SNI35 ($9) hi/lo convertors which work fine but there is horrible system noise at zero volume.. anyone try the rockford 360.3 on an ML amp?
