Default powering up the car at indoor shows

at big indoor shows (ie HIN) ive seen cars set up an inverter or converter of some sort so they can have their car audio running without running off the battery. what pieces are needed for this?

The inverter and a power source. But most of the time, places wont supply you with the source so you might need a generator too. Ohhhhh and the inverters are not cheep. But worth it. Go in to your local best buy in the installation bay and ask of you can see the power converter running their test bench audio stuff. That little inverter powers a 4 channel and 2 channel as well as a deck. If you plan on really turning your system up tho you might need a bigger one.

you can make a custom undercarriage connector running to external battery's running parallel in a cover box, i know that with yellow optima i ran my music for 4 hr non stop and then it just stop... i waited like 30min and my car just started up no problems

You will need to know how many watts you need as well. the inverters have different sizes. I bought the biggest one I could find when I used to do car shows. They would power all of my tv's and stereo throughout the night at the HINs back in 01-04... I think mine was at least $500 back then. I also got an RV power plug so I could just hook up the 2 wires to my battery and leave the plug hidden. At the shows, I would just plug in the converter. It was the easiest way to do it.
