07 is350 nav upgrade
Besides what I assume are updated streets/locations is the GUI updated? Any other benefits to upgrading?
I don't mind paying the $300 if there is a reason other than newer streets
Also what version do I currently have and what version do I need?

That's too bad. I'd bet that they would make a lot of money on the upgrades if they updated the system too. The hardware can't be that antiquated to support a different GUI.
