Default Any pics of a double DIN install on a '02 Sportdesign?

The reason I ask is the 2002 Sportdesign black on black center stack is not black-it's actually more of a brushed aluminum and every double DIN mount I've seen/searched for the GS is black. I'm wondering if anyone has just gone ahead and put the black mount on with the brushed aluminum climate controls and if it looks ok or if it looks like crap. Pics or opinions are appreciated..thanks...

It bothered me at first, but now it has grown on me. I actually like the contrast at times. Eventually I will paint it to match the climate control, but I am in no hurry.

you can always experiment with vinyl...

Its not hard to wrap, and the adapter may end up being a very close or good match!

I would recommend attempting a color change of the kit with SEM products. It is amazing what you can do with them if you take your time and are willing to experiment a bit.

I say wrap the bezel and the climate controls with 3M Di-Noc.

I did this to mine. Took me about 3 hours to do the headunit + climate controls. I love the look and the feel of it. (ME-379 brushed aluminum)

I also did the center console and ashtray.

That's not a bad look at All Yvie, actually looks very good-since I have all black interior, I don't have any wood trim on the steering wheel on the '02-I'm thinking I'll just keep the climate controls in brushed aluminum with the black double DIN. Shouldn't look too odd with the rest of the dash and interior being black. I'm even thinking of putting the climate controls on the bottom of the faceplate and moving the new Head Unit to the top of the center console-I never use anything but Auto and up and down temp button anyways. If I don't like I can use the 3M, thanks for the suggestion...you did a good job it looks seamless

Thanks for the compliment.

Actually it looks seamless because it is seamless. The console was done in one piece (well, two if you count the cupholder door). I took apart the climate control faceplate and the radio faceplate. It's much easier to work on that way. The end result will be much better.

The Di-Noc is really easy to work with. Be sure to use a hairdryer or heatgun to heat up the Di-Noc.

Here's a closeup of the radio/climate control. The 3M matches the OEM color perfectly (the flash kinda distorts the colors):
