HELP - On upgrading my stock radio with amps, subs and speakers ls430 2001
I am looking to seriously upgrade my system, with an alpine 600 x4 for the inside and a pdx 1000+1 for 2 alpine type r's in the trunk- Would love to keep the stock head unit, but any help frpm previous do'ers would be great!
I would also like to lnow what size are the front door speakers and the reard oor and are there any in the rear window.
I will be using only mb quart q series.
Any help would be great-and yes i did do a search first and came up short- i looked under stereo upgrade ls430

Serious upgrade as in money no object or working with a budget?
Any particular reason for using only MBQ speakers?
Are you going with a passive or active setup? 2 way or 3 way?
What are your plans, if any, for processing?
How about head units, are you changing out the OEM piece or keeping it?

I would like to use the factory radio - NOT NAVE!
I bought the clean sweep and the ssi kit-
Now I hear I will have to use the clean sweep volume **** and NOT the factory or steering wheel controls- Which is the whole reason I bought the freagin clean sweep- otherwise I have the op of the line alpine sitting in my attic. I like mb quart alot - mine is the older "quality" stuff.
NOW with that said above-
I am thinking about keeping the radio - NO CLEANSWEEP up grading the front speakers with the R- model mb quart 6.5 component and not using the crossover of the component ( i would be using the factory one) and leaving the rears as they are! And adding the mtxq (line out convert, pretty decent one) tapping off of the sub connectors and installing my dual voice coil 8" w7 and my jl 250/1 amp- and done!
All comments and input appreciated - Joe Cat
