Default IS250 Auto Remote starter optins

Anyone know of a system that is compatable with the IS line that will use the factory remotes? I know LMS had one, but they seem to be out of stock.

Does anyone else make one? I have the push button start, so another remote is out of the question.

Thanks

Just get a Directed remote start system (i.e. Viper, Clifford, Avital, etc.). Even the simplest of their newer models can be set up to use most factory remotes.

Use DEI module 1101T for the smart key. You will have to lose a key fob though. No way around that.

Outside of that, any remote start out there will work on the IS. Negative trigger can be used to remote start off of 2/3 pulse factory lock.

But if there is a smart key in the car, is this not dangerous? if you require at least a traditional key, then the steering lock is in place to ensure the car is not stolen---what about in this case when there is no old fashioned key?

No. the battery is removed from the smart key fob and it is hardwired to the 1101T module. The module only powers up the smart key fob during remote start. If you have a smart key then this is the only option out there currently.

Plus, when a remote start is engaged the brake must be pressed to shift the car into gear. If the brake is pressed without a SECOND smart key fob present the remote start and module remove power from the buried smart key fob. The car will then shut off shortly after due to lack of smart key within range.
