Default Change of heart JL W6 *what do u think*

About running at 10inch instead of 12inch? Reading through threads 12inch may put off more bass than I want.

Any thoughts? 10in W6 decent sub?

great sub no matter which size you get. as long as you have a good amp to power that sub you'll be all good.

i say you go with the 12!!!! just because if you do later down the road want to play it a little louder you can, since there is more surface area. just get a fosgate amp with a boost controller and just adjust it to how you like it. all i gota say is that you can never have enough bass, especially when someone bumping right next to you

I have 2 12 inch JL W6V2s in my car powered by a Elemental Designs Nine.1 and it has a bass controller that runs to under my steering wheel. I can control the bass depending on types of music. Sometimes i even have it to where its almost just the stock sub on. Its nice to have the option to get 1000+ RMS or just stock like bass.

the W6 is awesome, even the W3...just get a good amp and consider the bass control for the front and you wont regret it.

elemental design subs arent bad either. first time i heard that name on here. its a good, reliable amp as well. when CDT sponsored my car, i turned down elementals sponsorship, and it was TOUGH to do. CDT simply has better mid and highs.

Definitely going with the bass control ****. I was going to run the JL 500/1 but found a sweet Memphis amp yesterday at a local stereo shop. I've always loved Memphis amps.

I'll post some pics when I get the setup complete.
