Default Help Me Choose... which Viper Alarm?

I am trying to get a remote starter/alarm for my 02 ES300. This summer I bought my wife a Viper 5900SST for her SUV, and she loves it. The only thing we do not like is a battery life on the remote and it only comes with one remote. So I looked into getting a Viper 5701 but haven't seen that many people with it or their experiences. 5701 comes with 2 remote and battery lasts longer than 5900. Also 5900 has a LCD remote and 5701 has LED remote. Any idea on which alarm to buy?

thanks,
Tae

Both are great. If you don't like the battery life on the older one, choose the one with longer battery life. You will not be disappointed with any of DEI product line! GL!!

You wont go wrong with either choice. Both are 2-way trancievers and both have 4 aux channels for additional outputs.

The major difference between the 2 is the LCD screen on the 5900 vs the LED lights on the 5701. The 5900 has the ability to show you more of what is going on with the car and alarm through graphical representation. Additionally, the 5900 has a "stated" 1 mile range, while the 5701 is "stated" at 2000 feet.
