Sc300 Eclipse AVN5495???
Hey I have a stock Sc300 and desperately wanting to ditch the pathetic stock sound system, the constant skipping drives me nuts. have been looking into the Eclispe AVN5495 Head unit anyone know of how Good/reliable it is?
Is it worth the money? because personally its the cleanest option for an after market head unit.

I have the AVN5495 in my LX. It's a great unit for the price. Very reliable. Only downfall is that you can't update the data traditionally using a DVD. since it is a hard drive based unit, you have to send the entire unit to Eclipse to have it updated. Other than that problem, its a great unit and hasnt let me down for the 3 or 4 years i've had it.

i had the pionner avic d3, in my old car
its great for the money , dvd mp3,ipod blue tooth everything
price is around 600-700$
only downfall is it has only 1 dvd slot, which means if you wanna go some where u got to put the map disk in and load the addrest then take it out and put your music disk in
but ! here is a good way if u have a ipod full of muisc or videos
u can keep the map disk in at all times use your ipod

5495 isn't worth it. If you're going to do Eclipse do a 6600 or up (6600, 5510, 6610, or 6620)
the 5495 has a very limited ipod function and the navi hasn't been updated since 2005.
