upgrading speakers on a 2000 gs300

according to 12volt, the speaker size of a 2000 lexus gs300 is 5.25" but audio places i go to tell me it's 6.5".. can someone clarify?

no idea wtf ur talking about. im talking about speaker size. not a subwoofer size. either way, i have a jl 12w6v2. i also have a dual 10" type r's that im not using

You can go up to 6.5 inch with a custom baffle and a spacer ring. Do a search on the topic - it's been written up many times.

System goals? Ground pounder? Sound quality? No holds barred?

i'm pretty sure stock in the gs is 4in speakers in the doors

yeah the stock speakers are 4" front and rear but u can make custom baffles to fit up 6" mids.

i also seen some abs baffles on ebay for like 15 bucks.
depending on wat speaker u get u might have to shave the plastic off of your door panel as well.
