Default amp to factory sub output

I have a rockford amp hooked up to the factory sub output in the rear deck with a line out converter. But the bass does not sound clean. Is there anything to adjust besides the bass control on the headunit and the gain on the amp? the jlw3 box is pointing toward the rear of my gs4.

hm...could be alot of things man but thats where i got my high/low output to amp also and it sounds clean. Try to set it up in a different location? Maybe your box is too small? Ported or Sealed box? Songs quality?

I have a sealed box with 2 jlw3 dvc subs built in. It came like that from the store. I have clearer bass when the box is closer to the opening of the trunk than further back.

try going to a more full range of a speaker the stock subwoffer is using a different frequency that your sub probably cannot handle. stock stereos are very complicating. try running your loc off one of your rear speakers instead of the subwoffer and see if that helps

thanks dude. how exactly is your sub/amp setup/installed? where is your line converter? is it close or far away from your factory sub magnet?

i would adjust the line input converter to both being half. than adjust everything on the amp itself. it might be getting more of a signal than it needs.
