Guys it really depends. Subwoofer location does make a difference. Ideally, you would want the subwoofer to be in the same cabin as you car. But this is not feasible unless you want to lose your backseat. We're able to throw the sub in the trunk because the soundwaves are not as directional as those from the midrange speakers. If tuned and placed well enough, you wont be able to locate the source of bass as well. It'll blend in with your front stage.
