Opinions of Boston Acoustics S50
Looking at a reasonably priced speaker upgrade for my 1990 LS400. The S50 is a two way component system, 5 1/4" mid/woofer, and 3/4" tweeter. With some modification to the OEM speaker box, the mid/woofer should fit, but there's an external crossover used for the woofer/tweeter. Is there room in the door to fit it?
Looks like the crossovers are 6 11/16" by 1 3/4". Would I have to extend the wires out and put the crossovers under the dash instead?
Boston speakers are generally considered to be of decent quality, no?
