Default Here I go again

I did an audio upgrade in my 93 SC4, but it was stolen, and the 99 SC4 I got to replace it has the same symptoms as the 93. Both have (had) the Nak system. One rear speaker is dead, and there's almost no bass. So now I get to do the fix again. The weather's gonna be crappy this weekend, so now's the time.

New 6 gauge power lead and ground, 200W RMS sub amp, new rear corner speakers, and a new 10inch sub if the old one still won't perform even with the new amp. I doubt if it will. I've got 2 subs that will work in free air, one a standard type and one a shallow model, less than 3" deep. I will use whichever one fits. If I scrap the oem sub, I will cut up the basket and save the outer ring so I'll have the mounting points for the cover. I will drop the new sub in on top of the ring from the old one and glue it in place with silicone sealant. I did that in the 93, and it worked fine.

I couldn't get the same Pioneer sub I used the first time - it's been discontinued - so this time I have the 2 Blaupunkt subs. Why Blaupunkt? They were CHEAP! And it's getting hard to find free-air subs. I don't want to take up trunk space with a box. I'm not going for the ultimate here, just a system that works. The last upgrade worked out great. Too bad I have to do it again.

Will report back when it's done to let y'all know how it went.
