I think i see what he's asking tho...
An automatic switch could work too...good idea.

Would have to be set up on some kind of relay that would automatically switch from the cd changer input to the aux input when it senses a signal coming from the aux side.

he one in the video was a manual flip switch tho. I remember seeing him reach down to switch it.

as long as you have A)radio w/CD button and B) a (somewhat) working CD changer (needs to at least turn on) this mod will work on an 1SC, 2GS, 1LS, and 2LS)

it SHOULD work on a 1GS, 2/3ES, and LX/GX but i cant confirm that until i look at the wiring diagrams for them. il try to have some definite answers on these cars by next friday.

Default Nice Job PureDrifter!

That's a cool mod...I'm gonna do it on my 96 (CD changer in the dash).
But no one has asked about aux power into the ipod...
Did your CD head unit cable tap also include the 12V power for the ipod...so that you could enjoy unlimited music...or even charge it if it's low??

I was thinking of gutting my CD changer and putting my car pc in it. Any help on how I would wire it would be awesome.

i was disappointed to find out that there's nothing for our cars before 2001 to play an mp3 player. i really hope you share with us how you got it to work because it's perfect. looking forward to it!

Exactly--is this trigger switch just a simple manual toggle switch?

Using a 4PDT relay with a switch on the preamp signals going into the stock amp, correct? Probably very similar to this - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=120322. I've had this done for quite awhile now...
