Unhappy

I'm new to the list but have already gathered some helpful information (ie power steering leak/white smoke fix, I need an idle up valve!).

Anyway, my stock radio (Pioneer am/fm/tape) in my 90 LS 400 has a short in it I think. It won't turn on until the car has been running a while. It's gotten worse as now it takes almost a 100 miles of driving before the radio will turn on. When it's hot outside it still takes a while, but not quite as long. I purchased a radio from a 92 LS 400 (exactly the same) and when I switched them out nothing happens on the new one, it won't even come on at all! I will probably sell this car in 6 months so I don't want to spend a bunch of money on an aftermarket setup. Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions about fixing the original (how much will it cost?) or picking up another used one that really works? Thanks.

Rick
