Do you think it will work for a 98 GS300?

Maybe using a in-dash LCD stereo that motorizes out, but doesn't motorize flipping up could work. One 6.5" LCD stereo that operates like this is Clarion's VRX-6671z.

I helped a friend do a similar setup in a new M3. I dont know if I would do it for 2 main reasons. The first is that you have to cut into the dash to allow the monitor to rise up. Which really isnt that bad, but if you ever take that monitor out you're going to have a problem covering up that hole. The second is that there has to be room in the dash for the monitor. I dont know what is in that area of a GS, but im sure there is some wiring, air conditioning etc. We had to re-route a lot of stuff to make room. You have to make room for not only the monitor, but all the wiring and actuators or whatever contraption you use to raise and lower the monitor. To install the monitor and reroute everything would cost at least a couple grand at a shop and I would not try to do this on your own unless you're a MECP installer....
