cell phone installation of rear window antenna
#1
OK I got the entire hands free kit for my vader phone installed, works real good. Here is my question.
The rear window antenna mounts in 2 pieces with adhesive. The inside piece sticks to the inside of the rear window, and the outside piece sticks to the outside of the rear window, both pieces overlaying each other. In the manual it says to make sure and scrape any tint or rear window defrost so the 2 pieces can make good contact thru the window.
OK here is my question. On the rear window I can see where the lines for the rear defrost system are. But on the top of the rear window are all kinds of black lines painted on. Will I mess anything up if I scrape some of these aside to mount the rear antenna?
Thanks guys.

It is a good posbility(sp?) that this is one of your radio antennas, I would not scrape them off. I have a gs and I installed the cell. antenna in the rear center top of the window. If the lines are in that area try to center the cell. antenna between the lines as much a possible and you should have no problems with reception. Hope this helps.
